Fifteen Students of
the Federal University of Technology , Minna has been apprehended by the Minna
Police Command.
The suspects, who are
undergraduate students in the Federal University of Technology , Minna, were
said to have been apprehended after a robbery was reported in the area.
The students were
caught with sophisticated weapons, such as guns and live ammunitions.
One of the students
who is in 200 level, has confessed to the crime. He has disowned the others,
claiming he does not know them and that the others had nothing to do with the
robbery.
The Criminal
Investigation Department (CID) command believes him to be the ring leader in
what seems to be a cult group. They stand on charges that can land them each
over a 10 year jail term if found guilty.
Former SUG president
of the institution., Sly, was seen at the station speaking with police
officials.
